Hamlet double puts Welly through.

Byline: GET SMART KIRKLEES SUNDAY By GEOFF HYDE Sports Correspondent

WELLINGTON Westgate are proudly carrying the Get Smart Kirklees Sunday League flag into the semi-finals of the West Riding County FA Sunday Trophy.

The Huddersfield team will face Britannia AFC of Tadcaster in the last four after scoring a 5-2 victory over Toller in the quar ter-finals.

Dalton's scheduled game - in another quarter-final tie against Northorpe United - was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and the two sides will try again tomorrow at Standiforth Rec.

Should Dalton be successful, they would play Tadcaster Magnets in their semi-final.

Dates of both semis are still to be determined but they will be played at Woodlesford with evening kick offs.

Wellington took an early lead against Toller when Eddie Hamlet flicked in from a low cross by Lee Bradshaw.

They went 2-0 up with a strike from outside the box from Anthony Haigh and extended that lead when Graham McLachlan also scored from long range.

Toller fought back to make it 3-1, but Jamie Jobarteh headed in from close range just before half time to restore the Wellington advantage.

The KSL men could have been out of sight, but they missed several chances, allowing Toller to get back to 4-2. But, with five minutes to go and after a spell of Toller pressure, Hamlet grabbed his second goal of the tie to complete the scoring and wrap up a comfortable win for Wellington.
