Hameed Nizami gives new face to journalism: Shujaat.

LAHORE, February 26, 2012 (Balochistan Times): Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Saturday that Hameed Nizami gave a new face to journalism of the sub-continent as a leader of the Pakistan Movement. Addressing the 50th death anniversary of Hameed Nizami, at Aiwan e Iqbal, he said there was the need to recall outstanding services of the late leader. Hameed Nizami, was a journalist par excellence and waged struggle for the cause of freedom of expression, Shujaat added. Journalist Mujeebur Rehman Shaami addressed and talked about the productive career of Hameed Nizami. PPP secretary general Jahangir Badr, addressing on the occasion, said Hameed Nizami willingly endured hardships inflicted on him by detractors of the mission of the Quaid. Yet he continued to propagate, in his daily writings, the logic and the purpose underlying the creation of a separate state for the Muslims of the sub-continent Badr added. Federal Minister Samina Ghurki and many others paid tribute to late Hameed Nizami.
