Hall effect position sensors.

Honeywell has introduced a new Hall effect magnetic position sensor designed to take up less space on printed circuit boards used in speed and rpm sensing, tachometers, motor and fan control, electric vehicle control, flow-rate sensing and brushless dc motor commutation. The SS30AT sensor's 4.5 to 24 Vdc supply voltages and ability to operate up to 257[degrees]F enhance application flexibility, while built-in reverse voltage protection simplifies installation and protects the device from damage when mounted on the printed circuit board, said Honeywell. Its thermally balanced integrated circuit provides stable operation over a full temperature range, the company said.
