Hair-raising bid to help victims.

SAMANTHA Chick decided to do something 'bald' to help victims of the vicious typhoon that destroyed parts of the Philippines.

The Earlsdon businesswoman decided that losing her long flowing locks was nothing compared to what millions of people are going through after Typhoon Haiyan ripped through the Asian islands last month.

So Samantha, who has spent a lot of time in the Philippines over the last few years and whose partner Joseph is Filipino, had her head shaved to raise money for the aid appeal and raised PS1,540.

Samantha, 28, who had her close shave at Tonic Therapies, said: "I decided to raise money for the appeal as my partner is Filipino and my son Jojo is half Filipino.

"I have more than many in the Philippines have right now and am able to raise funds from others to help them more than I could alone."

To add to Samantha's total visit or donations can be made at Millsys in Earlsdon Street
