Hain attacked for TUC rally decision; WALES newsbulletin.

FORMER Welsh Secretary Peter Hain yesterday came under fire for announcing he will attend a major TUC protest against UK Government spending cuts on March 26.

Conservative Party co-chairman Sayeeda Warsi said: "Peter Hain, the man Ed Miliband picked to chair his policy review, is siding with deficit deniers by announcing he will be attending the TUC rally."

Mr Hain, who chairs Labour's National Policy Forum, said: "It's typical of Sayeeda Warsi to dismiss anyone who doesn't sign up to her Government's frightening plans as a 'deficit denier'. The Tories are callously indifferent of their savage cuts beginning to provoke uproar around the country.

"That's why the TUC rally is important."
