Haas: Bust-up over.
Thompson refused to shake the hand of Haas seconds after the final whistle confirmed a 1-0 Liverpool success at Anfield.
The Liverpool assistant manager believed Haas overreacted to the two-footed challenge of Dietmar Hamann which brought the Germany international midfielder a first-half red card.
But Haas said: "The matter is finished. Emotions run high in football and that was the case after the final whistle.
"The Liverpool manager made a point of apologising and that's good enough for me."
Switzerland international defender Haas, a pounds 750,000 summer recruit from Zurich club Grasshopper, believed referee Steve Bennett was right to dismiss Hamann for the challenge.
He added: "In football now you can't make tackles like that.
"If I had done it I would have expected to go, although of course it is disappointing.
"You never want to see players sent off but that is the way the game is now."
