 HYUNDAI CUTS MAINTENANCE COSTS ON ALL NEW MODELS
 FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Designed to take


the risk out of purchasing a new car, Hyundai Motor America announced the expansion of its ValueCare Ownership Program to include the entire 1992 vehicle line: Elantra, Sonata, Scoupe and Excel. This industry- leading plan takes the uncertainty out of purchasing a new vehicle by offering new car buyers virtually all regular scheduled maintenance at no charge for the first 24 months or 24,000 miles.
 The ValueCare Ownership Program covers regular maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotation, brake shoes, linings, filters, V-belt, fluid changes, wipers, tires, spark plugs, tune-ups, cassette tape player drive and the compact disc player mechanism. The plan also includes tire and wheel alignments, air conditioning recharge and general body adjustments.
 "By extending the ValueCare Ownership to all our vehicles it will significantly impact the consumer confidence in our products," explained Rod Hayden, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Hyundai Motor America.
 "This program provides Hyundai new car owners with a higher value package on all our 1992 models and reduces the operation costs for them for the first two years," added Hayden. "In a sense all they have to do is pay for gas."
 The ValueCare Ownership Program is offered in addition to the standard Hyundai three year/36,000 mile new vehicle limited warranty and the five year/60,000 mile limited powertrain warranty. The program also enhances the resale value for all 1992 Hyundai models due to the regular scheduled maintenance care. Any unexpired coverages under the ValueCare Ownership Program are transferable to subsequent owners.
