 HURRICANE RELIEF FUND PASSES HALF-MILLION-DOLLAR MARK
 JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- More than $282,000 has


been contributed to Barnett Bank's "Barnett/Florida Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund." Barnett has matched it for a total of $565,000. The relief effort, established by the bank Aug. 26, provides dollar-for- dollar matching funds up to $600,000 to help victims of Hurricane Andrew.
 The money goes daily into an account for the Red Cross of Florida to be used for the purchase of food, clothing, personal items and medical supplies for victims of the hurricane.
 To contribute, Hurricane Andrew relief checks should be made payable to Barnett/Florida Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and mailed to:

 The fund is also open to corporate partners who wish to add matching commitments of at least $100,000. The Ethel and W. George Kennedy Family Foundation, a Miami-based foundation, has already joined Barnett with a $100,000 matching commitment. Corporations and foundations who wish to join the fund should call James Covington at 904-791-7730.
