HURLEY GOES DOWN UNDER; kildare football.

KILDARE could be about to lose another senior footballer to the AFL, with reports in Australia suggesting Sean Hurley will join Fremantle in October.

Hurley, who participated in the AFL Draft Combine in 2012, trialled with the Dockers at the end of last year but wasn't signed on despite having apparently impressed with his speed, aerobic fitness and kicking skills.

The official AFL website has reported Hurley and Fremantle have been working on an agreement that would see the 22-year-old join the west coast outfit at the end of the current GAA season. He would be registered as an international category B rookie.

The Johnstownbridge man made his senior Championship debut in 2011 but became a regular under Kieran McGeeney last season.
