HUNTINGTON NOT TO SELL ONE DAYTON CENTRE

HUNTINGTON NOT TO SELL ONE DAYTON CENTRE
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Huntington National Bank

announced today it will not pursue further talks with the State of Ohio regarding the sale of One Dayton Centre. The decision was made at this time because of other viable options being available for review on the 20-story office tower in downtown Dayton.
"The Huntington believes in the long term strength and viability of the Dayton economy," said Robert McLaughlin, vice president of The Huntington National Bank. "The current economy dictates a strategy of concentrating on leasing to quality tenants and then selling the building when it is more advantageous to do so.
"The State of Ohio, the City of Dayton and the Dayton Chamber of Commerce were instrumental in working with The Huntington on the issues involving One Dayton Centre," said McLaughlin. "The Huntington appreciates the support and cooperation shown by these entities and looks forward to continuing this partnership to promote future downtown economic development. Such an endeavor is also important to the overall health and viability of the State of Ohio's economy."
The Huntington National Bank is the principal subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (NASDAQ: HBAN), a $13 billion regional bank holding company headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.
