HUNTINGDON INTERNATIONAL HOLDINGS ROLLS OUT ROADSCAN(TM)
 MIDDLEPORT, N.Y., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Huntingdon International

Holding plc (NYSE: HTD) today announced the introduction of the ROADSCAN Pavement Management and Engineering System, the first graphic pavement management software system designed to aid transportation authorities and municipalities in road maintenance, rehabilitation and new construction.
ROADSCAN provides transportation authorities, such as cities, counties, airport and state Departments of Transportation, a systems- based approach for monitoring and managing their roadway networks using nationally accepted pavement design criteria and economic analysis procedures. ROADSCAN was developed by a Huntingdon team, led by engineers from Huntingdon's Austin Research Engineers, Inc., subsidiary.
Commenting on the introduction, B.C. Wooley, chairman of the board said, "ROADSCAN is an exciting new product for us. It has been successfully installed and utilized by a number of transportation authorities across the country prior to its formal release for sale. The 1991 Federal Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act encourages the use of pavement management systems, and in fact requires a system to be in service by March of 1993 to qualify for Federal matching funds for highway rehabilitation. We are actively marketing the ROADSCAN system through each of Huntingdon's U.S. divisions and internationally through our Travers Morgan subsidiary."
