HSN TO BRING BACK AN ORIGINAL; CIRCOSTA'S BACK

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- The Home Shopping Network, Inc. (NYSE: HSN) announced today that it has the answer to the much-asked viewer question, "Where in the world is Bob Circosta?"
 He's back.
America's original television shopping show host, Bob Circosta, hits the airwaves Labor Day on HSN's Home Shopping Club Network 1 (cable TV) from noon to 3 p.m. Eastern time (EDT) with his Welcome Back Bob Sale. The show marks his return as a show host on a regular basis.
It's not that Circosta, known in the early days as Budget Bob, has been far away. For more than a year, he's been a Club sales executive and trainer of new hosts. But he says he's missed being on the air as much as his loyal viewers say they have missed daily TV visits with him.
"I'm so excited about coming home to Club programming," Circosta said. "I want to hear from all the longtime Club members I used to chat with and meet lots of new shoppers too. And, I've packed my come-back show with classic Club items, such as great jewelry and bargain hardgoods."
With his warm style and familiar, soothing broadcast voice, Circosta led the way from the Home Shopping Club's modest early days as a local radio broadcast to a first-of-its-kind nationwide television marketplace. A trendsetter, Circosta literally wrote the book -- a Home Shopping Club host training manual -- for other club hosts to follow.
Doug Bailey, president of Home Shopping Club, said "I know thousands of Club members will be delighted to welcome Bob back on the air. He's more than a sales person to our viewers; he's a trusted friend.
"I invite longtime Bob Circosta fans, and new Club members as well, to tune in to Bob's show. You'll find he still has a special knack for blending plenty of straight talk with lots of fun. Bob truly believes in providing our customers with good service and entertaining television."
Circosta has shared a special relationship with audiences since his early days on the radio when he sometimes used to drop off orders at customers' homes on his own way home after a show. When he moved to television, his loyal fans followed him. One Circosta faithful even called him on the air one day even through she had gone into labor and was nearly on the way to the hospital to deliver a child. He later learned that she named her baby after him.
Summing up his Club return, Circosta said, "Hosting is more than sales to me. It requires the ability to build rapport with viewers. You have to genuinely like people, and I always did and still do."
