HSBC invests to upgrade branch network.

HSBC Holdings (LSE: HSBA) has invested money to upgrade its branch network in Malta.
The banking company said that it has invested close to EUR8m to upgrade its branch network in Bugibba. The bank had earlier spent two months of extensive work to upgrade its facilities. The next immediate upgrade is to be unveiled in Hamrun, Swieqi and Paola.
HSBC CEO, Alan Richards, said, 'This is a significant investment and a clear demonstration of HSBC's ongoing commitment to the local economy in Malta. As a bank, we look to continuously invest in our infrastructure, systems, services and our people, to ensure we keep up with the times and the ever-changing needs of our customers.
