HS2's impact on the road system.

HOW does the son of Joe Rukin, calculate that HS2 will "mess up" six roads in and out of Kenilworth? e new railway is planned to pass underneath the A46 Kenilworth by-pass (but, as a by-pass, it does not go in or out of Kenilworth).

HS2 will then pass underneath Dalehouse Lane and the A429 Coventry Road, both of which take tra"c into Kenilworth.

It will also pass under Crackley Lane, but this runs o Coventry Road.

So, by my reckoning, HS2 will pass under just three roads that take tra"c into/out of Kenilworth.

As for the Kenilworth Greenway, Alexander should bear in mind its original purpose. It was built to carry the railway from Kenilworth to Berkswell, which Dr Beeching closed 50 years ago.
