GROSSE POINTE, Mich., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Responding to corporate demand for highly skilled executives and managers, the national human resource consulting firm HRStrategies, Inc. announced today the opening of is new Leadership Center.
The Leadership Center is specifically designed and equipped to aid organizations in assessing the skills of executives and managers for selection, promotion and career development. In addition, the Center is the only Midwest facility designed exclusively to help organizations assess executive and management skills, said David P. Jones, president and CEO of HRStrategies.
"Newly selected key executives might easily be involved in making multi-million-dollar decisions over a few years. We can help organizations make the right choice," said Mark Lifter, vice president of HRStrategies. "We can provide critical information on the competencies, leadership skills and developmental needs of all levels of managers and executives."
The Center's mission is to provide information organizations can use to make staffing and development decisions. The Leadership Center provides the "information edge" that resumes and interviews alone cannot deliver in determining a person's management capabilities. This information can also be used for career and developmental planning.
Joining HRStrategies to head the new Center is Dr. Russell Dore, who has more than 15 years' experience in management development and assessment programs. Dore, a licensed psychologist, will serve as director for Management Assessment.
"We have a customized facility and highly qualified staff to deliver optimum information relating to management skills assessment," Dore said. "This is a vital area of human resources management."
The Leadership Center facility is located within HRStrategies' corporate headquarters in Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. The Center's staff of consultants use an array of assessment technologies including tests, questionnaires, structured interviews, business simulations, and input from supervisors, peers and subordinates.
The resulting analysis and information is important to organizations concerned with:
-- Career Planning -- Job Rotation
-- Hiring Decisions -- Identifying "High Potentials"
-- Promotional Decisions -- Plans for Training & Development
-- Succession Plans -- Personnel Restructuring
The HRStrategies Leadership Center offers a private, professional environment for organizations desiring an off-site, distraction-free setting for assessment of individuals and small groups. Center staff are also available to offer services on-site at client premises.
While the Center facility is new, HRStrategies has been applying its assessment experience and services to numerous Fortune 500 firms for more than a decade. Local clients include Kelly Services, Handleman Corporation, Hiram-Walker, Detroit Edison, numerous financial institutions as well as the automotive Big Three and their suppliers.
HRStrategies, headquartered in Grosse Pointe, also has offices located in New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Central Europe. HRStrategies assists major corporations -- including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Motorola, Exxon, Philip Morris, Pepsi-Cola, Anheuser-Busch and others -- in developing skills assessment, employee selection, and programs to ensure legal compliance in human resources practices.
