HRH the Premier asserts ongoing strategic upgrading of medical and health cadres.
HRH the Prime Minister instructed the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) to study suggestions submitted from the Bahraini Doctors' Society for this purpose.
These remarks were made as HRH the Prime Minister received in HRH's court this morning the board of directors of the Bahraini Doctors' Society on the occasion of forming the Society's new board of directors.
HRH the Prime Minister told doctors to uphold the professional role of their society and to keep aloof from politicization but to participate at the same time in national affairs like any civil society organization and to stand firmly in support of the interest of the beloved motherland and to upgrade their profession with determination, research and constant follow up of latest medical trends and to contribute in developing the medical and health facilities and protect the accomplishments made alongside the path of construction and progress.
HRH the Prime Minister envisioned the medical body to remain intact and unharmed by a wee faction's unethical activities who violated the noble mission of the medical profession . HRH the Prime Minister urged doctors to make it their top priority to upgrade the medical profession and their noble humanitarian mission.
HRH the Prime Minister cited the Kingdom of Bahrain's success over the past four decades in its special strategy of boosting the medical services which helped Bahrain to rank amongst countries having the least fatality rates, longest life spans and highest in health indicators, pointing out that the Government's policy is expansion on health and medical services with focus on specialist medical centers and providing options for citizens to obtain highest medical services and asserted the government's constant policy of developing professional medical crews.
On the occasion of their reception by HRH the Prime Minister, the Minister of Health Dr. Sadig bin Abdulkarim Al-Shehabi, the Society's Chairperson Dr. Maha Al-Kawwari and members of the Bahraini Doctors Society expressed their utmost gratitude and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for the cordial reception and noble directives, lauding the constant support by HRH the Prime Minister aimed at development of all health and medical sectors in the Kingdom, citing the Governments pragmatic strategic plans for this purpose.
