HRH Premier Chairs Work Meeting.

Manama, Dec. 14. (BNA) -- His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa chaired here today a work meeting dedicated to the follow up of the recommendations of the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI).

HRH Premier was briefed by Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and Chairman of the Government Work Team in Charge of Scrutinizing BICI proposals on the implementation phases.

In this regard, HRH Prime Minister reviewed the mechanisms of following up the implementation process in order to make sure that the recommendations are concretized according to a pre-set schedule and within a comprehensive national plan.

HRH Premier stressed that the government is keen to come up with the best mechanisms and ways of implementing BICI recommendations and cooperate fully with the National Commission in this respect.

Then, HRH Premier reviewed with those present what has been achieved so far regarding the government work plan, instructing all ministries and government departments to speed up the implementation of all projects, especially those related directly to the citizens' needs.

"Any delay in executing citizen-related projects, especially the housing and service ones, would be unacceptable," he said, calling for the need to create a more effective follow up mechanism in order to make sure that all projects are carried out in due time and ensure full coordination between service ministries.
