HRConnect Version 3 Provides Employees With Intuitive Employee Self-Service Application.

New Wizard-Based Version Introduced by Conduit Software

Conduit Software today announced Version 3 of its award-winning HRConnect web-based employee and manager self-service software.

Version 3 of HRConnect brings with it a revolutionary design focused on processes designed for the user.

With the release of HRConnect Version 3, Conduit Software has introduced the first wizard-based HR Intranet application that uses intelligent, content-specific decisions to guide a user through what are most often very complex processes. By guiding users through events such as annual benefits enrollment or a change in marital status using Conduit Software's Wizard, HRConnect Version 3 accomplishes the goal of enhancing service levels to employees, reducing human resource administrative costs and freeing both HR and the employee to focus on more strategic tasks.

"With the Wizard, HRConnect lets companies dramatically and almost magically change the way they service their employees," says Tom Clements, president and chief executive officer for Conduit Software. "This powerful new tool can help reduce costs, improve service levels and leverage an enterprise's technology investment," he added.

HRConnect Version 3 is designed to appeal to employees. Unlike the majority of web-based applications built upon "putting forms on-line," HRConnect will enable employees to access 200 user-centered, ready-to-run applications, allowing them to perform transactions and obtain approvals from managers, all over the company's Intranet. Companies can also augment the user experience by adding audio and video capabilities, thus allowing users to interactively complete processes.

HRConnect is built around six major user-centered areas: Acquire (recruiting, teams); Hire (new hire enrollment, orientation); Develop (career, personal, training/education); Assist (work, life, open enrollment, communication); Track (performance management, time/attendance, health/safety); and Evolve (personnel actions, succession planning, separation). For example, the Personal application provides financial modeling so employees can do "what if" scenarios to assist in planning for retirement. Payroll modeling is used to determine the net effect on a paycheck due to changing a deduction or a tax exemption. Links are also provided to the company's wellness and employee assistance program.

Using the HRConnect visual business process design (BPD) tool, companies can also alter rules and processes -- or create new ones -- quickly and easily as business needs change. The BPD provides a visual repository for creating and storing reusable objects for use in the development or modification of business processes. As business changes, the BPD provides a visual environment for rapidly reconfiguring business processes without writing code. Unlike proprietary systems, the BPD generates Java code.

Conduit Software provides an open architecture that takes advantage of today's Intranet technologies, including industry-standard HTML editors, Java development tools, and ActiveX components. HRConnect is available now with pricing for the core module (Work/Life) and business process design tool starting at $120,000, with additional modules starting at $25,000.

Conduit Software develops solutions for large corporations that have significant cost structures associated with human resources support. Studies show that about 70 percent of Human Resources department's staff time is tied to administrative tasks such as data entry, with only 30 percent committed to people development and mission-critical issues. Conduit's HRConnect is designed to streamline processes and reduce the administration burdens surrounding human resources functions.

Based in Norcross, Ga., Conduit Software is a leader in the development of Intranet applications. Founded in 1985, Conduit Software has helped more than 200 companies achieve high returns on investment through software solutions.
