HQ completed for Deluxe.

SJP Properties of Parsippany, New Jersey, has completed construction of a build-to-suit Regional Headquarters and state-of-the-art printing facility for Deluxe Corporation, the nation's largest printer of bank checks, in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey.

SJP Properties provided budgeting, scheduling and approvals, and acted as construction manager throughout the 12-month build-out.

Situated on 12.5 acres, the single-story building will serve as a next-generation prototype for new Deluxe operations across the country. The 70,000-square-foot structure will be used for a check-printing facility and executive offices, and also includes a cafeteria and storage accommodations. Deluxe's sophisticated printing equipment required stringent humidity and temperature controls, as well as sound buffering to reduce noise levels.

SJP Properties included a state-of-the-art mechanical system and a special sound-proof roof-deck to accommodate these needs. Additionally, the company incorporated concrete flooring in the plant area. The flooring met Deluxe's rigid specifications, providing a level, crack-free slab with the same characteristics as the Super-Flat System but at a significantly lower cost.
