 THROUGH STAY AND SAVE! FALL MARKETING CAMPAIGN
 PARSIPPANY, N.J., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Howard Johnson Franchise Systems, Inc. today kicked off the largest marketing campaign in Howard Johnson history, involving some of the biggest names in the travel industry -- Visa U.S.A. and Travelers Cheques, Continental Airlines, Thrifty Rent-A-Car, Carnival Cruise Lines and others. The Howard Johnson Stay & Save! fall marketing campaign makes up to $54 million in travel savings available to guests staying at Howard Johnson or HoJo Inn properties throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. In addition, participating Howard Johnson and HoJo Inn properties are offering special fall sale rates from $25 to $59 -- and children under 18 stay free.
 Beginning Sept. 8 and running for 100 days through Dec. 18, the Howard Johnson Stay & Save! program offers each guest travel discount certificates worth up to $750, with savings from Howard Johnson and HoJo Inn, Continental, Carnival, Thrifty, and TravelAlert Vacations. Plus, when guests check in with their Visa cards, they get an instant bonus folder with more than $100 in discount coupons redeemable at Goodyear, Pearle Vision, Pizzeria Uno, Chi-Chi's and lots more.
 And that's not all -- every week this fall the Stay & Save! travel sweepstakes will be giving away week-long vacations for two from Continental, Thrifty and Howard Johnson, with $100 in Visa Travelers Cheques to spend as they wish. No purchase is necessary to enter. Winners will be announced on the special "Howard Johnson Discovers America" television show broadcast every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. eastern time on CNBC.
