HOUSE OF FABRICS ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES SHERMAN OAKS, Calif., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- House of Fabrics Inc.
(NYSE: HF) announced today that Tony J. Bosboom has resigned his position as president of Fabricland Inc. and head of the regional office which House of Fabrics established in Portland, Ore., following the merger of Fabricland and House of Fabrics in July 1991. In addition, Myron Parry, formerly vice president, operations, real estate and secretary at Fabricland, has also stepped down from his post with the merged companies.
The Portland regional office will now be headed by Laurie Harsh, who continues as vice president, retail sales. Gary L. Larkins, president of House of Fabrics, commented: "Tony Bosboom founded Fabricland in 1968 and with the help of people like Myron Parry built it into a force in fabric retailing. At the time of the merger last year, Tony agreed to help see our companies through the transition, and now that that task is behind us, he would like to devote more time to other interests. "The management and board of House of Fabrics takes this opportunity to thank him for his assistance in the last nine months as we have all worked to bring the two companies together."
