HOT MOVIES: SECURITY GARBAGE IS NO JOKE.

Byline: JANE SIMON

NATIONAL SECURITY

NOBODY sets out to make a bad movie on purpose, but reading director Dennis Dugan's CV I'm starting to wonder.

Big Daddy, Saving Silverman and now National Security. This hat-trick of garbage can't be mere coincidence.

Martin Lawrence and Steve Zahn star as security guards Earl and Hank.

Hank got kicked off the police force after a bystander filmed him apparently beating up Earl with his night stick. In fact he was just swatting a bee.

Six months later when Hank gets out of jail, they're forced to buddy up in a security firm to catch some random bad guys.

If you've recently had major surgery and can't laugh in case you burst your stitches, this mirth-free experience may be for you.

Otherwise stand back, folks. There's nothing to see.
