HORWATH JOINS SNOWRUNNER TEAM

 ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- SnowRunner, Inc., announced today the appointment of Mary Horwath as its vice president, marketing.
 Formerly the vice president of marketing for Rollerblade Inc., Horwath is well known for her contributions in building new sports. She was cited by Advertising Age in 1991 as one of the top 100 marketers in the country for her successful and innovative efforts to establish in- line skating as the fastest growing sport in America and Rollerblade as its market leader. Rollerblade grew from $3 million to $130 million from 1986 to 1993. Prior to Rollerblade from 1980 to 1985, Horwath served as program director for Freestyle skiing under the U.S. Ski Association, now an Olympic recognized sport.
 "Throughout my six years as CEO at Rollerblade, I had the opportunity to work with Mary and I can't think of anyone more qualified and capable of helping lead SnowRunner as we define a whole new world for fun and excitement in outdoor winter sports.  SnowRunner develops, markets and distributes the world's first patented and performance snow skate which integrates a comfortable, lightweight yet supportive boot and a specially designed replaceable base allowing the skate to glide over the snow. SnowRunner snow skates are distributed through general and specialty sporting goods stores for approximately $200. Snow skates are available for rental at most major ski resorts for an average daily rental cost of $12. Snow skating is being enjoyed at more than 170 ski resorts across the country including Aspen, Colo.; Mammoth, Calif.; Sun Valley, Idaho and Stowe, Vt.
