vvGooglinga runner Cappielow Park 5.30 Yarmouth In a district of Greenock in Inverclyde, west central Scotland, Cappielow Park has been home to Scottish First Division football club Greenock Morton since 1879. The name Cappielow is supposedly of Scandinavian origin, although details are sketchy. In 1902 Cappielow hosted a Scotland v Wales international but the record attendance of 23,500 was for a league-title decider against Celtic in 1922 that ended in a riot. Behind one goal is the Wee Dublin end, so called because of the Irish immigrants once housed in the area.

It closed in September 1964 following the Levy Board's decision to cease financial support.
