HORRIFYING EXAMPLE OF JEREMY KYLE GENERATION; THE TV SHOW.

THEY epitomised everything about the "Jeremy Kyle generation".

Mick Philpott, a self-confessed scrounger who raked in PS38,000-a-year in benefit claims for his multitude of children.

Mairead Philpott, a mum-of-six who happily shared her run-down council house with her husband's young mistress.

Lisa Willis, the "other woman" who brought up her four youngsters by Philpott and a fifth by another man inside the chaotic house in Derby.

Their bizarre lifestyle made them celebrities of a sort - culminating in their obligatory appearance on Kyle's ITV show in 2007.

Philpott grinned with pride as the star of the show was billed: "Father to 15... wife and girlfriend pregnant again!" Outraging the audience, he bragged: "What man wouldn't want two women? I've never worn a condom. They spoil sex."

But the life that made them the talk of the nation was to change forever in the early hours of May 11, 2012, with the fire that first killed Philpott and Mairead's six kids Jade, 10, John, nine, Jack, eight, Jesse, six, and Jayden, five, and later Duwayne, 13.

BRAGGING J Philpott on show Philpott had another four biological children with Lisa. A fifth child was Lisa's from a previous relationship but was raised by Philpott and his then lover. He also had six more children - three with first wife Pamela Lomax, two with ex-lover Heather Kehoe and a son with another woman.

He first came to the public's attention in 2006 when it emerged he shared his cramped home with his wife, mistress and 10 children.

His demands for a bigger house prompted a wave of backlash as he was dubbed "Britain's Biggest Scrounger" and "Shameless Mick", leading to him appearing on the Jeremy Kyle Show, This Morning and even in a documentary with former Tory MP Ann Widdecombe.

In a Daily Mirror interview in his home in 2007, smug Philpott said he was a "lucky man".

But his bragging ended in February 2012 when Lisa left him and took their children with her.

That triggered the tragic chain of events that led to the deadly fire.
