HONG NAMED DIRECTOR OF CPB INC.
HONOLULU, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Stanley Hong, president of the Hawaii Visitors Bureau, has been appointed to the board of directors of CPB Inc. (NASDAQ: CPBI), holding company of Central Pacific Bank. The appointment was announced by Yoshiharu Satoh, chairman of the board and chief executive officer. Hong will also continue to serve on Central Pacific Bank's board of directors, a position he has held since 1985. Hong replaces Eaton Magoon Jr., who has retired from the boards of directors of CPB Inc. and Central Pacific Bank. Magoon served as director for CPB Inc. and Central Pacific Bank since 1982 and 1966, respectively.
