HONEYWELL PROMOTES HOVEN, SKOVHOLT IN PUBLIC AFFAIRS AREA

 MINNEAPOLIS, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Honeywell, Inc. (NYSE: HON) said today it promoted Pat Hoven and Glen Skovholt to vice presidents in its Corporate Government and Community Affairs Department.
 As vice president of community and local government affairs, Hoven will manage the company's relationships with top city and county government officials, as well as with key community organizations. She will lead new initiatives on corporate volunteer programs and will serveas executive director of the Honeywell Foundation. Hoven, 54, joined Honeywell in 1978 and most recently was director of community and local government affairs.
 Skovholt was named vice president, national and international affairs. He will be responsible for Honeywell policy and lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C., as well as for trade policy and other international policy matters. Skovholt will lead the department's work with Congress, the White House and the rest of the executive branch. Skovholt, 52, joined Honeywell in 1976. Most recently he was director of policy and strategy, corporate public affairs.
 Both will continue to report to Ron Speed, vice president, corporate government and community affairs.
