HONEYWELL NAMES ESSRIG CORPORATE ETHICS OFFICER

 MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Honeywell Inc. (NYSE: HON) has named Lee Essrig corporate ethics officer responsible for managing the organization's business ethics activities.
 In her new position, Essrig will oversee and ensure compliance with Honeywell's "Code of Ethics and Business Conduct," a statement of the company's mission, guiding values and business conduct policies. These duties previously were performed by Ed Ayers, vice president, who remains responsible for contract management and compliance at Honeywell.
 Essrig will be a member of the company's Ethics and Compliance Committee and the management team of the Office of General Counsel, and will report to Ed Grayson, vice president and general counsel.
 Most recently, Essrig held the international assignment of associate European counsel based in Brussels, Belgium, where she was responsible for Honeywell Europe's compliance matters.
 Essrig joined Honeywell in 1983 as legal counsel and contracts representative for the company's Tampa, Fla., operations. In 1984, she became senior legal counsel for the company's Space and Strategic Avionics business and later, group legal counsel for Space Systems in Clearwater, Fla., responsible for all of that business unit's legal matters.
 Before joining Honeywell, Essrig served for two years as a law clerk for the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Prior to that, she spent five years as a teacher and consultant, specializing in education for the gifted.
 Essrig received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va., a master's degree in gifted child education from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fla., and a juris doctorate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
