HONDA SPORT-UTILITY VEHICLE TO BE NAMED PASSPORT

 TORRANCE, Calif., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- American Honda Motor Co. Inc. announced today that its new sport utility vehicle will be named the "Passport." Scheduled to go on sale this January at Honda automobile dealerships throughout the country, the Passport will be Honda's first offering in the United States for the growing sport- utility segment of the light truck market.
 The Passport will be produced for Honda at the Subaru-Isuzu Automotive manufacturing plant in Lafayette, Ind. Sales of the Passport through the Honda dealer network are projected at 20,000 units for the 1994 model year.
 The introduction of the Passport through Honda dealers in the United States is the result of a joint agreement between Isuzu Motors Ltd. and Honda Motor Co. Ltd. signed in April 1993.
