HOMELESS ARTISTS DISPLAY THEIR WORKS AT SPECIAL HOLIDAY BAZAAR: BUSINESS LEADERS LEAD CHARGE TO END HOMELESSNESS

 PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia business leaders and homeless service providers will ring in the holiday season with a special bazaar and sale, featuring the artistry and talents of homeless persons, and information on how businesses can help the homeless begin new lives.
 The event, co-sponsored by Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE: ROH) and the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition, will be held on Monday, Nov. 22, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Rohm and Haas Company, Independence Mall West, 6th and Market streets, Philadelphia.
 It will feature:
 -- The preview and purchase of unique holiday gift items -- such as holiday cards, calendars, wrapping paper, jewelry and drawings -- all produced by homeless persons and nonprofit agencies endorsed by the Homeless Program Committee of the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition.
 -- A performance by the One Day at a Time Choir, a troupe of formerly homeless persons recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
 -- Information about successful programs to help end homelessness, and how businesses can support permanent solutions to this growing problem.
 -- "Not in My Backyard," an exhibition documenting homelessness and poverty by photographers Joseph Sorrentino, Harvey Finkle and John Grant.
 On Tuesday, Nov. 23, the Holiday Bazaar will re-open for Rohm and Haas Company's 1,500 employees, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
 Rohm and Haas, the Philadelphia-based specialty chemical company, is a strong advocate for programs that help the homeless, including the School District of Philadelphia's "Homeless Student Initiative" and Project H.O.M.E., founded by Sister Mary Scullion. The Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition is a nonprofit agency that brings together business and community leaders to solve urban problems.
