 HOMEFED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER RESIGNS
 SAN DIEGO, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- William D. Nichol, 48, has


resigned as chief financial officer of HomeFed Corp. (NYSE: HFD) and its principal subsidiary HomeFed Bank, F.S.B., effective March 20, the company announced today.
 Nichol joined HomeFed as CFO in 1983 and has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years.
 "Bill's knowledge and background in finance have been an important resource for the company. We all wish him well," said Thomas J. Wageman, president and chief executive officer.
 HomeFed Bank, a federal savings bank, has more than 200 offices throughout California.
