      HOMEBASE OFFERS 10 PERCENT DISCOUNT TO EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS
     AT WAREHOUSES IN SAN BERNARDINO, PALM DESERT & VICTORVILLE
    FULLERTON, Calif., July 3 /PRNewswire/ -- In their commitment to serving the local community, HomeBase home improvement warehouses in San Bernardino, Palm Desert and Victorville, Calif., will assist earthquake victims with a 10 percent discount on all merchandise beginning Friday, July 3, through Sunday, July 12, announced HomeBase President Jim Halpin.
    The warehouses are also prepared to accept disbursement vouchers issued by the American Red Cross.  The vouchers can be used at HomeBase to purchase construction materials, building supplies and other home-related items.
    "We're all in this together," explained Halpin, "and this is our way of helping our customers as they start to clean and repair their homes."
    The 10 percent discount, limited to area residents whose homes were damaged by this week's earthquakes, will be granted upon request at the time of purchase.  The participating HomeBase warehouses are located at:
    San Bernardino -- 101 E. Redlands Blvd.
    Palm Desert -- 72700 Dinah Shore Dr.
    Victorville -- 14555 Valley Center Dr.
    HomeBase warehouses are open to the public and offer everyday low prices on a broad selection of high quality, brand-name home improvement, building supply and decor items.
    Based in Fullerton, HomeBase Inc. currently operates 80 locations in 12 states.  The company is a division of Natick, Mass.-based Waban Inc.
