HOMEBASE JOINS L.A. CLEAN-UP EFFORT WITH DONATIONS FULLERTON, Calif., May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The HomeBase improvement
warehouse chair has made a donation of shovels and brooms to the Los Angeles-area riot clean-up effort, according to Jim Halpin, president of the Fullerton, California-based company.
"We are pleased to be able to lend a hand now that people can begin cleaning up their communities," stated Halpin. The company made its donation in cooperation with the Los Angeles City Council, which is currently coordinating local clean-up programs. HomeBase, one of the nation's leading chains of home improvement warehouses, operates 80 warehouses in 12 states, including 12 locations in Los Angeles County and six in Orange County. The company is a division of Natick, Massachusetts-based Waban Inc.
