HOME SHOPPING BROADCAST SUBSIDIARY FILES PRELIMINARY FORM 10 WITH SEC
 ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Shopping Network, Inc. (NYSE: HSN) announced today that Silver King Communications, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary, has filed a preliminary Information/Form 10 with the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with the proposed spin-off of Silver King to stockholders of HSN.
 Silver King operates 12 full-power UHF television broadcast stations, including one satellite station. The stations serve many metropolitan areas, including eight of the 12 largest television markets in the United States. Approximately 27.5 million households are reached by Silver King Stations, which air Home Shopping Club programming, advertising inserts, issue responsive programming, children's programming, ethnic and religious programming and public service announcements.
