 HOLIDAY STIFLES U.S. AUTO OUTPUT
 DETROIT, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. car and truck makers are


scheduled to build 121,727 units this holiday week, 35.5 percent below the prior five-day week and 31.1 percent below the year-ago week, which was also a five-day work week.
 U.S. carmakers plan to build 71,785 units, 34.8 percent below the previous five-day week and 34.3 percent below the year-ago week.
 So far this year, 4,996,944 U.S. cars have been assembled, 13.0 percent below 1990 at this point in the year.
 Truck output in the U.S. is scheduled at 49,942 units, 36.6 percent below the prior week and 26.0 percent below the year-ago week.
 Year-to-date, 3,208,592 trucks have been produced, 11.8 percent below 1990's tally at this time.
 U.S. estimated car production is shared by manufacturers as follows: General Motors, 50.8 percent; Ford Motor Co., 13.8 percent; Honda of America Manufacturing Inc., 8.6 percent; Chrysler Corp., 8.1 percent; Diamond-Star Motors, 4.9 percent; Mazda Motor Manufacturing (USA) Corp., 4.3 percent; New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., 3.6 percent; Toyota Motor Mfg. Inc., 2.5 percent; Nissan Motor Manufacturing, Inc., 2.3 percent; and Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc., 1.1 percent.
