HOECHST CELANESE TECHNICAL FIBERS UNIT RAISING PRICES OF POLYESTER YARNS FOR INDUSTRIAL FABRICS APPLICATIONS

 CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 1 ~PRNewswire~ -- Hoechst Celanese Technical Fibers' Industrial Fabrics Business Unit announced Nov. 30 a price increase of 7 cents per pound on all high-tenacity polyester yarns for industrial fabrics applications.
 The price increase, to be effective Jan. 1, 1993, is necessary to support continued investment in the business to meet long-term marketplace requirements.
 Hoechst Celanese, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hoechst AG of Germany, has leading positions in fibers, chemicals, advanced materials and technologies and the life sciences.
