 HOECHST CELANESE IS RAISING THE PRICE
 OF POLYESTER INDUSTRIAL YARNS AND CORDS
 CHARLOTTE, N.C., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoechst Celanese Technical Fibers' Tire and Mechanical Rubber Goods Business Unit today announced a price increase of six cents per pound on all polyester industrial yarns and cords for tire and mechanical rubber goods applications.
 The price increase, to be effective Sept. 1, is necessary to support continued investment in the business to meet long-term marketplace requirements.
 Hoechst Celanese, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hoechst AG of Germany, has leading positions in fibers, chemicals, advanced materials and technologies and the life sciences.
