 HO-LEE-CHOW INKS MILLION-DOLLAR TRADEMARK DEAL
 ANN ARBOR, Mich., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- HLC America, Inc. announced


today its name change to Ho-Lee-Chow, Inc., reflecting the nearly $1-million acquisition of the trademark and all systems relating to Ho-Lee-Chow in the United States and Mexico.
 "Franchisee support can't be an afterthought," said Thomas N. Burnham, 44-year-old president of Ho-Lee-Chow, Inc. "We're starting off the new year by reaffirming our commitment to our franchisee family. Our decision to put our money where our mouth is will deliver a substantial savings to our franchisees." Effective immediately, the royalty fees paid by franchisees will drop to 5.5 percent of sales, from 7 percent.
 "We're no longer a licensee, we're the owner," said Burnham. "This acquisition gives us a closer relationship with our franchisees."
 "The principles are the same," said Burnham. "But now we have more freedom to continually improve the Ho-Lee-Chow system." Ho-Lee-Chow stores will retain the same bright, clean look, authentic recipes and an emphasis on quality and service.
 Ho-Lee-Chow, Inc. is owner and franchiser of Ho-Lee-Chow stores in the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Israel. Each store delivers Chinese cuisine prepared to order with no added MSG, to the customer's home or office. Ho-Lee-Chow, with three stores in Michigan, currently has stores under development in Chicago, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas, Annapolis, Md.; Virginia; Mexico City and the United Kingdom.
