HM heads to Europe.

SHARM EL SHEIKH (Egypt) -- His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said left Sharm El Sheikh city yesterday concluding a private visit to Egypt during which His Majesty held talks with President Hosni Mubarak dealing with the relations that bind the two countries and brotherly peoples as well as issues of common concern on the regional and international arenas.

His Majesty the Sultan headed on a special visit to a number of European countries.

His Majesty the Sultan was seen off by President Mubarak, a number of ministers and senior Egyptian officials and the Sultanate's ambassador to Egypt, and its permanent representative to the Arab League.

Upon his departure, His Majesty sent a cable to Mubarak in which he expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended by the president, government and people.

His Majesty pointed out that the meeting with the Egyptian president provided the opportunity for consultation and exchange of views on different issues and developments on the Arab and international arenas.

He prayed to the Almighty to grant the Egyptian president good health, happiness, long life and support him with success to achieve further progress and prosperity for the brotherly Egyptian people under his wise leadership.
