On Thursday 19th November at 7pm, Her Majesty Queen Noor will join international dignitaries at the AMAR International Charitable Foundation's glittering fundraising dinner, themed '1001 Arabian Nights', at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, Knightsbridge.

This is the second AMAR event that HM Queen Noor, who is internationally celebrated for her work on conflict recovery and poverty, has attended, showing her continued commitment to the charity.

The evening's entertainment will include a champagne reception; a speech from Ms Thoraya Obaid, the Executive Director of United Nations Population Fund; entertainment from the acclaimed Lebanese singing duo, G&D Band; a live auction conducted by Mr George Gordon of Sotheby's and a Diamond Roulette Draw.

The charity aims to raise funds for Primary Health Care Centres, mobile health clinics, Women Health Volunteer programmes and education programmes that support the most vulnerable populations of Iraq and Lebanon.

Speaking ahead of the event, Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, founder and Executive Chairman of the AMAR International Charitable Foundation, said:

"It is wonderful to have Queen Noor's continued support for the charity. This year's fundraising dinner promises to be a memorable evening of entertainment and hospitality. All funds raised will make a tremendous difference to vulnerable communities in Iraq and Lebanon, enabling people to receive vital health care and education and saving many lives. "
