HM King Mohammed VI launches construction works of 300 military housing units, 3 barracks in Oujda.
HM King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, launched, on Friday at the Beni Oukil military site in Oujda, the construction works of 300 military housing units worth 90 million dirhams (10.1 million dollars). Details were provided to the monarch regarding this project, which spans on an area of 23,900 sqm and will be finished in 18 months.
The monarch was also briefed on projects to build three new barracks along with social and economic equipment, including a mosque and social services to be ready within two years for an amount of 172 million dirhams (19.3 million dollars).
The sovereign enquired about barracks and housing units' construction program in the eastern and south-eastern zones.
The program provides for the construction of 2,479 housing units and 17 barracks as well as military facilities.
