MOTHERWELL boss Stephen Robinson reckons red-hot Danny Johnson can go far if he keeps up his thrilling form.

The Englishman bagged his fourth goal of the season in Saturday's win at Dundee.

And Robinson, who signed the 25-year-old from English non-league side Gateshead, believes the move north can help Johnson get his career back on the up.

The Fir Park gaffer said: "We rate Danny highly. He's not the finished article but is a goalscorer. They are priceless to any club.

"We have brought a few people up here who have scored goals and sold them on. Danny still has a lot to learn but we will help him and when you can score those goals you always have a chance."

Dundee's lack of a proven scorer has played a huge part in their sorry start to the Premiership season.

They sit bottom with no points after four games, having netted just twice.

But boss Neil McCann is refusing to panic and said: "Maybe there is a wee lack of confidence due to results but I believe we have enough in there to get us up and running.

"Once the new players settle things will be different."
