HIGH-TECH INDUSTRY LEADERS TO PARTICIPATE AT PREMIER FORUM
 FOR U.S./JAPAN STRATEGIC PARTNERING
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Alliance Forum presents the Alliance '91 Conference, Dec. 1-4 in Tokyo at the Royal Park Hotel. The Alliance '91 Conference is the premier event for high-technology executives and emerging companies involved in or developing strategic partnerships between Japanese and U.S. corporations. Speakers at the conference include Philippe Kahn, president and CEO, Borland International; Sandra Kurtzig, CEO, ASK Computer; Yotaro Kobayashi, president, Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd.; and Michiyuki Uenohara, senior advisor, NEC.
The agenda of the Alliance '91 Conference is designed to fulfill two goals: to allow industry leaders on the cutting edge of strategic alliance thinking to network and hear the most current developments from experts in the field; and to provide emerging high-technology companies the chance to make individual presentations to the Japanese organizations at the conference and conduct individual meetings to start developing business relationships.
The conference begins on Sunday evening, Dec. 1, with a reception for U.S. company participants. Edward Reilly, president of DEC, Japan and of the American Chamber of Commerce of Japan will deliver remarks. On Dec. 2, Yotaro Kobayashi will deliver the keynote address, "The Spirit of Strategic Alliances."
Monday afternoon the conference will split into three sessions, where the leaders of over 30 emerging high-technology companies will make presentations on their company's products and strategic alliance objectives. After the individual presentations, the Japanese participants will have the opportunity to set up individual meetings for the second and third days of the conference with companies that might share compatible business development goals.
Since 1985, The Alliance Forum has sponsored conferences aimed at bringing together leaders of emerging high-technology businesses in the United States with corporate leaders in Japan. The conferences have resulted in numerous strategic alliances being formed by the conference participants. The 1991 conference promises to be the largest and most successful to date.
