 HIGH TECHNOLOGY GOES UNDERGROUND
 Mayor Maynard Jackson of Atlanta will deliver the keynote message


to the High Technology International No-Dig Conference and Exhibit at the Washington Sheraton, 2660 Woodley Road, N.W., Washington, on Monday morning, April 6, at the opening ceremony commencing at 9 a.m.
 Jackson is one of the nation's strongest advocates for the rebuilding of America's infrastructure. He is chairman of the Rebuild America Coalition of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, president of the National Conference of Democratic Mayors and president of the National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials and numerous economic, political, and community development activities. A member of the Atlanta Olympic Games Authority, a driving force in the establishment of the new Atlanta City Airport, the mayor is intimately knowledgeable of urban infrastructure and public works needs in America. He will be addressing this nation's great needs for infrastructure renewal and societal considerations.
 The International No-Dig '92 Conference and Exhibit is hosted by the North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT), an affiliate of the worldwide organization ISTT, dedicated to the science and technology of rebuilding, maintaining and improving the immense mileage of underground utilities services without creating unbelievable congestion and environmental destruction. Simply stated, all the high technology innovations of space and surface engineering are being refocused into the penetration of underground space to achieve renewal and expansion without disturbing the overlaying environment. High technology goes underground and "Trenchless Benefits Society" -- the theme of the Washington conference.
