HIGH TECHNOLOGY FIRM PERFORMS COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK
 ON MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY
ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- This is the third year that Technical Management Services (TMS) employees will observe the Martin Luther King holiday by performing community service work. TMS is a high technology firm that provides information engineering to the federal government. The president, Aleta Robinson Wilson, hopes that other companies will follow TMS' example by giving back to the community.
This year, employees will be spread among five facilities:
-- Martha's Table, where employees will prepare food for the homeless and provide childcare for low-income families.
-- Calvary Baptist Church where employees will prepare and serve dinner to over 800 homeless people.
-- Woodland Hills Retirement Community where employees will visit senior citizens and assist with reading mail, writing letters and performing light housekeeping.
-- Family Service Foundation where employees will assist deaf and mute residents by performing repair work.
-- Hebrew Home where employees will feed, visit and serve as escorts for senior citizens.
TMS provides employees with eight hours of pay for four hours of volunteer work. This is an annual event and those who would like TMS staff to help next year should contact the company.
