NEW YORK, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Internal Revenue Service's crackdown on independent contractor/1099 employment relationships and how companies and individuals can comply with the rules will be addressed during a free seminar in New York City on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the New York Hilton & Towers (Gibson Suite), 1335 Avenue of the Americas.
Presenters will include John Fanning, president, and Rob Lyon, national director, of Payroll Options Unlimited, a national payroll management service that works confidentially with both companies and individuals to comply with the IRS' stepped up efforts to enforce rules on independent contract/1099 employment relationships; misuse of the classification according to the government costs an annual $20 billion and is the reason for the IRS crackdown.
