 HICKORY FURNITURE COMPANY ANNOUNCES A DELAY
 IN RETIREMENT OF 12 PERCENT SUBORDINATED DEBENTURES
 CHICAGO, Ill., April 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Hickory Furniture Company, a financial holding company in Chicago, Illinois, today announced a further delay in the retirement of its 12 percent Subordinated Debentures which matured Jan. 15, 1992. Hickory now anticipates that it ?ret ire the debentures during the second calendar quarter of 1992. The debentures will continue to bear interest until their retirement.
 Hickory beneficially controls approximately 77 percent of the voting power of Acton Corporation (AMEX: ATN). Hickory, formerly a direct manufacturer of furniture, sold its manufacturing operations to an Acton subsidiary, Hickory White Company, in June of 1990. A company spokesman noted that neither Acton nor Hickory White was affected by this delay.
