HERTZ ANNOUNCES NEW LOW NATIONWIDE LEISURE RATE OF $14.99
PARK RIDGE, N.J., April 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hertz Corporation, the world's leading car rental company, announced today a new low nationwide daily leisure rate of $14.99 for a subcompact car.
Hertz, which introduced low nationwide leisure rates in 1990, is reducing its current low nationwide daily rate from $18.99 in response to competitive factors.
The low daily rate requires that the rental be booked at least one day in advance and be kept over a Saturday night. The rates are available at participating corporate Hertz airport locations nationwide.
"For leisure renters, the news is extremely good," said Hertz Executive Vice President Brian J. Kennedy. "Vacationers can now get Hertz quality and service at an even lower daily price nationwide."
The new low rate is effective April 24 through June 24, 1992
"Hertz introduced the concept of a single low daily leisure rate nationwide, with a Saturday-night keep, and it has proven extremely successful," said Kennedy. "Our action is evidence that we intend to remain extremely competitive."
Low daily rates are also available market-by-market in the mid-size and luxury car classes. Examples include a daily rate of $20.99 on a mid-size car at Los Angeles International Airport and a $39.99 rate on a luxury car at the same location. Both rates require a one-day advance booking and Saturday-night keep.
Hertz has approximately 1,500 U.S. locations and a domestic fleet of 220,000 cars.
