HEROES & VILLAINS JOINS RENAISSANCE ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION

BOULDER, Colo., Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Renaissance Entertainment Corporation (Pink Sheets: RNEN) (REC) today announced that it has acquired a new corporation, Heroes & Villains Ltd., as a wholly owned subsidiary. Heroes & Villains, a jousting company located in Wisconsin, made its debut this year at the Bristol Renaissance Faire of Bristol, Wis., located between Chicago and Milwaukee.
Miles Silverman, president of REC said, "Jousting has been a regular feature of the Bristol Renaissance Faire, and having our own company not only gives us greater control over the presentation, it also gives us a superior quality product that we can make available to other fairs and related venues. Our growth over the last five years has been based on quality fun for the entire family and Heroes & Villains' acting and choreography skills give Faire-goers another thrill out of yesteryear to remember."
Knights armed with shields and 12-foot lances and protected by shiny armor weighing 120 lbs. combine improvised and stage combat with bona fide equestrian skill in this full contact drama.
Heroes & Villains recently completed an engagement with the Maryland Renaissance Festival, and is scheduled to perform from Oct. 24-31 at the International Horse Show in Washington, D.C.
REC's common stock is traded on the Pink Sheets under the symbol RNEN.
