HENRY JOINS EDUCATION ALTERNATIVES, INC.
MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Education Alternatives, Inc. (NASDAQ: EAIN) announced today that Dr. Katherine L. Hollins Henry has joined the company as the Maryland state coordinator for Tesseract(R) schools. For the last year and a half, Henry has been the director of the Corporate Training Center of Growth Development Associates, Inc., Annapolis, Md. She was responsible for administrative functions and supervised the development, revision, and evaluation of 39 courses in administration, sales, secretarial services, management and executive training. From 1970 until 1992, Henry was employed by the Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Annapolis, where she served as an intermediate grade teacher, a mathematics teacher, a mathematics resource teacher, an assistant principal of an elementary school and the coordinator of the Office of Staff Development. Henry received a bachelor of science degree and a master of education degree from Bowie State University, Bowie, Md. In 1985, she received a doctorate in education from Nova University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She taught courses at Bowie State University, Loyola College, and Towson State University. She has conducted retreats for public schools and other community organizations and has also been a speaker at many conferences and conventions. For 22 years, Henry was the organist and choir director of the Union Memorial United Methodist Church, Davidsonville, Md. She and her husband, Charles F. T. Henry, live in Gambrills, Md. Their daughter Kathlene, 18, is a college student. Their son, Charlton, 13, is a student in middle school.
